Former Wake Forest strength and conditioning coach Ethan Reeve oversees an athlete as they demonstrate how to do a kettlebell clean and press.
- Grab the kettlebell handle with an overhand grip. Your thumb and forefinger should rest against the inner corner of the handle.
- Swing the kettlebell under you, use your hips to stand while pulling the weight up. Rack kettlebell at neck level, twisting it to the outside of your wrist.
- Push the kettlebell upward, above your head, toward the ceiling.
- Lower the weight back down to rack position and then back to the ground.
Today, Ethan Reeve is director of strength and athletic performance for Mondo in Chattanooga, Tenn.
