David Neill, Director of Sports Performance at Liberty Christian School, shares what he enjoys about coaching at the high school level and how high schoolers get excitement from seeing their own improvement in the weight room.
David has served as the Director of Sports Performance at Liberty Christian since 2017. He graduated from Texas Tech in 2010 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise & Sports Sciences, then again in 2012 with his Master’s in the same field. David was a four-year letterman in football under Mike Leach and Tommy Tuberville during that time.
After his playing career finished, he began his coaching career at Texas Tech where he served as a strength and conditioning assistant coach for Tommy Tuberville. He spent the next five years working as a collegiate strength coach with stops at Cincinnati and the University of Texas, before coming to Liberty in 2017. During that time, he would work with not only college football athletes but soccer, basketball, volleyball, track and field, swimming and golf as well.
