Eric Cash, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Dorman (S.C.) High School, details his progressive program for training young athletes. He starts with his ‘Block Zero’ program and moves onto more advanced exercises once his athletes have mastered basic physical skills.
Coach Cash emphasizes the importance of setting short-term goals as stepping stones to long-term goals, building both physical skills and a positive mindset in young athletes while preparing them for their athletic journey.
Eric Cash has been the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Dorman High School since 2013. Prior to Dorman, he was the head strength coach at Presbyterian College, Eastern Illinois University and Elon University. Coach Cash is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) and an active member of the National High School Strength Coaches Association (NHSSCA). He recently completed his Doctorate in Kinesiology from UNC-Greensboro with his research interests centering on the development of young athletes.
