Kurt Chapman, PT, DPT, CSCS, explains the importance of training the core and demonstrates body weight exercises that train it. He also describes the benefits of having a strong core and how it can help with athletic performance.
Kurt is a graduate of UW La Crosse (Bachelor of Science – Physical Therapy) and Des Moines University (Doctor of Physical Therapy). In addition to his physical therapy degree(s)/training, Kurt holds the distinction of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Kurt is also a Certified Newton Running Coach. Kurt’s clinical interests include: sports medicine, running analysis, exercise prescription, performance training, working with overhead athletes, and all things related to promoting individual and community health.
