Matt Holt On The Difference Between Being Right & Being Better

UWM-Athletics Director of Strength and Conditioning, Matt Holt, talks about taking advice from everyone to learn where improvements can be made. He describes the benefits of looking at your program realistically and encouraging other people’s feedback.
Coach Holt began his role as Director of Strength and Conditioning with Milwaukee Athletics in 2017. He currently works with women’s soccer, men’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis and cross country. Holt began with Milwaukee Athletics in 2014 as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Prior to that, he was an intern at Marquette University from 2013-2014. He also served as an intern with Milwaukee Athletics from 2011-2013, during which time he completed his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology.
Holt has additional experience working as an intern for the Milwaukee Bucks and as a Strength and Conditioning Assistant with Carroll University Baseball. In addition to Strength and Conditioning coaching, he has also been a Head Wrestling Coach at Waukesha West High School and an Assistant Wrestling Coach at New Berlin West/Eisenhower High Schools.
