TeamBuildr has entered what the company is calling Phase 2 of its integration with personal wearables, which should come as welcome news for coaches whose athletes use a wide variety of wearable fitness tracking technology every day. Happily, this rollout is provided to all TeamBuildr plan levels, from Silver to Platinum Pro.

To begin, athletes must connect their wearable device to TeamBuildr through the mobile app. The more devices connected to the mobile app, the more data the strength coach can track through the TeamBuildr dashboard.

Before exploring the dashboard, it’s important to define the Exertion Score. This score ranges from 1 to 10 and measures exertion levels based on factors such as average heart rate, sleep, calories burned during activity, and heart rate variability. In brief, a higher score indicates high levels of exertion, while a lower score signifies low exertion. Additionally, the Exertion Score is unique to each individual as it is based on their biometrics and then standardized to the 1-10 scale. Coaches can understand the formula used to determine the score here.

The main feature of the dashboard is a chart that displays the 7-day Exertion Score for a chosen group, team, or individual. To the right of the chart, the dashboard displays the current daily Exertion Score, as well as the average scores for the past 7 days and the past 28 days. Scores then categorize the athletes using the following labels: Heavy Fatigued, Slight Fatigue, Moderate Fatigue and Well Rested.

At the bottom of the dashboard, there is a table that provides a detailed breakdown of each athlete or client, including their Exertion Score, calories burned, average heart rate, steps taken, heart rate variability, and hours of sleep.

The athlete/client wearable view remains unchanged for now. They will still be able to view their daily Exertion Score through the mobile app, along with information on their active calories, basal metabolic rate, sleep, average heart rate, and heart rate variability.

For more information, coaches can schedule a wearables dashboard demonstration call.
